John is a guy I'd call ugly duckling.
The guy from Keral with a mixed ancestry himself revealed that as a teenager he was apprehensive to talk to girls due his untidy face (perhaps acne? or something).
But look at John now; every girl & guy drool over him.
He is a successful actor, but I personally feel he is underrated.
The following photo reminds me of George Michael, my another favorite guy :D
